A player pathway is a structured route that helps talented athletes move from local development programs into higher levels of competition, education, or professional football. It’s not a guarantee — football never is — but it’s a real, organised system of support that gives players the best possible chance.
Premiership Academy has helped players from Canada, Brazil, and South Africa sign with clubs in the United Kingdom. We’ve also placed players and coaches into university and college scholarship programs across North America.
The role of coaching qualifications
Not every player will sign a professional contract — and that’s fine. What Premiership Academy also offers is a pathway into coaching. We have supported some of the world’s top international players in gaining their coaching qualifications after their playing careers ended. For players who love the game and want to stay in it, coaching is one of the most rewarding directions available — and we help make it accessible.
University scholarships — a path worth knowing
Soccer scholarships at North American universities are a genuine opportunity that many families aren’t fully aware of. Premiership Academy works alongside universities and colleges to help identify players who could be the right fit, and we support players through the process of applying, being assessed, and securing their place.

Online courses from the UK
For players who want to continue developing their football knowledge and education simultaneously, Premiership Academy also offers access to online courses from the UK.
